Hackensack – The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders have put together a video, which provides helpful voting information to Bergen County residents. This year - with few exceptions - Bergen County residents will be voting exclusively by mail. Working in conjunction with local election officials, the Freeholders compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions surrounding voting by mail. It is the goal of the Freeholders to increase turnout for the November election. It is their belief that regardless of which candidates residents choose, our Democracy is best served when we have an active and engaged electorate.

The video is available for cross-posting and embedding from the URL below.

The Dumont Mayor and Council are committed to doing everything possible to help our businesses and implement the proper procedures as we safely reopen our community. When the State of New Jersey announced that restaurant and retail operations will be permitted to open with limited outdoor service, The Borough of Dumont took quick action establishing Resolution #123 allowing street closures for outdoor dining where appropriate and adopted a resolution implementing the provisions of Executive Order 150 regarding the temporary and conditional re-opening of establishments in Dumont. In recognition of the continued State of Emergency The Mayor and Council have extended outdoor dining into 2021.

Our restaurants and retail are a vital element in our community, and we recognize there is an intense need to commence operations. We have developed a process to safely help our business community on the road to recovery while ensuring compliance with all safety guidelines. To participate in outdoor dining, please submit or scan completed forms, schematics, required permits, and proof of insurance and email the Building Department at This email address is being protected from spambots.
