To help our residents who were impacted by the severe flooding caused by Tropical Storm Ida, the Borough of Dumont has scheduled a special garbage pickup for residents that need to discard flood-damaged materials as a result of Tropical Storm Ida.

Beginning on Tuesday, September 7th,the Borough will begin debris pickup in the community starting on the east side of the railroad tracks.

Please separate flood-damaged material from your normal garbage pickup. Regular Garbage and Metal pickup will continue on its normal schedule. We ask all residents only to discard flood-damaged material. Due to the high volume, the Borough’s special garbage pick-up for flood-damaged material will take several days. We ask for your patience as we work to pick up all flood-damaged material for residents affected by Tropical Storm Ida. Unfortunately, many residents in our community suffered, and we will do all we can to help our friends and neighbors in this time of need.
