Hello Dumont Residents!

It is my honor to serve as Mayor of the Borough of Dumont. As I have done in my years of service on the Council, I will continue to put my best efforts towards serving all the residents of the Borough.

Dumont has so much to offer our residents. We have some of the best schools in the State of New Jersey and offer our young residents a great sports program through our recreation commission. Various groups throughout the Borough offer social programming, like scouting, that teaches life training for children.  We have an involved group of volunteers to beautify the Borough, a very active senior center with many daily and weekly activities, and a social support network to assist those that need it.

Volunteers are the backbone of our community. I would like to thank all the enthusiastic volunteers who spend considerable time serving on the boards, committees, and commissions to make our community a great place to live.

Thank you to those that serve others in need. The houses of worship throughout the Borough and the many local charitable organizations provide relief and a true service to others when they need a helping hand.

When there is an emergency, our dedicated Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance Corps are always there to help the residents in their time of need. Remember if you have an emergency DIAL 911!

Our DPW keeps the Borough in tip-top shape; cleaning our parks, leaf collection, decorating the Borough for holidays and special events, and plowing the snow off our roads… they make the Borough look great at all times of the year.

This calendar will identify all the important dates and events for the Borough at your fingertips for the upcoming year. It also lists the phone numbers and emails contacts for the departments in the Borough. Our Borough Hall staff work everyday to keep everything running smoothly, please reach out to them if you need anything from the Borough.

Wishing you a Joyful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

GOD Bless You All, and GOD Bless America!

John W. Russell
Mayor of Dumont
