The Borough of Dumont overnight parking restrictions are in effect.
The temporary suspension of the overnight parking ordinance has ended and overnight parking restrictions are again being enforced. No vehicle may be parked on any borough roadway between the hours of 2am and 6am.

The Dumont Shade Tree Commission Meeting scheduled for Monday, January 8, 2024 is cancelled.
Public Notice: The Sine Die meeting of the Governing Body of Dumont has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 6:45 PM. The Reorganization meeting will be held January 2, 2024 at 7:00 PM or immediately following the Sine Die meeting, at the Dumont Municipal Building at 50 Washington Avenue, Dumont, N.J.
Formal action shall be taken.

The next meeting of the Recreation Commission will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at 7:00pm in the court room on the 3rd floor of Dumont Borough Hall, 50 Washington Ave., Dumont.
Please note that there will be no garbage pick-up on New Year's Day, Monday, January 1st. Garbage pick-up will resume on the next scheduled day, Thursday, January 4th.
In addition, the DPW Department will be closed on Monday, January 1st. If you have a sewer emergency, please contact the Dumont Police Department at 201-387-5000.

Artificial trees are to be thrown out on your second regular day of garbage pick-up.
2024 parking permits to park in the Brook Street Parking Lot, on West Shore Ave. (section 2-5), W. Quackenbush (north side, 125 ft. west of Park Ave), and Washington St. (east side, from Massachusetts Ave. to Washington Ave.) are now available for purchase online. The cost for permits are $120/year for Dumont residents and $180/year for nonresident commuters (Dumont Borough Code §21-34).
