In 1968, Congress created the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to help provide a means for property owners to financially protect themselves. The NJFP offers flood insurance to homeowners, renters and business owners if their community participates in the NFIP.

The Borough of Dumont, in conjunction with the Bergen County Wellness Program, can provide you, your family members, as well as your pets with a free prescription drug card.
Program Highlights
This program can be used by residents without a prescription drug benefit program or as a supplement for an insured prescription plan. It can also be used as a Medicare Part D supplement by covering drugs once participants reach the "donut hole".
As an added bonus, the card also offers discounts prescriptions for your pets.
Cards are available at the Dumont Borough Hall. Each family member should have their own card which will be returned to he/she for future use.
When the weather forecast calls for a "heat wave" (three or more days of 90 degree weather), the Senior Center will be opened as a Cooling Station from 9:00AM to 10:00PM weekdays and weekends. The Senior Center is located at 39 Dumont Avenue.
